Pricing
We provide flexible and customised solutions that are tailored to your specific audience. Every map is unique, and so are the prices. In addition to the design charges, the license fees will depend on the number of printed copies or digital impressions.
Map Data
Map data is generally obtained from open sources or from our data provider partners. This helps us to keep our prices competitive and minimise the likelihood of intellectual property issues down the road. You may also choose to supply your own map data in a suitable format.
Source Files
If you would like to have the source files for the final map design, please let us know before placing your order. We adopt an Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign workflow for most of our map production, which means that special provisions have to be made at the start. In line with industry practice, additional charges are applicable for the provision of source files.
Delivery Format
Your custom maps will be delivered in an electronic format, in a file type which is determined by us. We can send it via email, upload the files to your FTP server, or provide login details for our FTP server. Files can be also provided on a DVD or memory stick at an additional cost. For printed maps, we can arrange for these to be delivered to you.
Licensing and Attribution
When you commission a bespoke map with Cartoffel, you will be granted a sole and exclusive worldwide license to publicly display, reproduce or distribute the works only for the agreed purpose, after we receive full payment of all applicable fees. This license is non-transferable and cannot be sublicensed or resold to a third party.
All rights including copyright and ownership shall remain vested in Cartoffel. Written permission must be obtained from Cartoffel if the works are to be used for any other purposes, and may be subject to additional fees, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
There is no need to include credits for our maps. But if you choose to do so, you may use one of the following:
